Football Club Round-Up 2023/2024
As the 2023 – 2024 football season ends, we’d like to say a big well done to all of
players who have represented the club this season. We have been impressed with
the way you have all conducted yourselves on and off the pitch, and we are super
proud of the development we have seen across the board in terms of ability and
mentality. A huge thank you to parents for supporting the players and representing
our core values every week.
We can barely believe that we are only 3 years old as Ealing Trailfinders Football
Club. We started with two boys’ teams in September 2021 entering the Harrow
Soccer Combination (HSC). The following season saw the boys grow to five teams.
Two U10 teams in the HSC, two U12 teams, and one U15 team in the Harrow Youth
League (HYFL). The year also saw the introduction of the Evolve girls’ training
sessions on Monday evenings and the entry of two girls’ teams in the Capital Girls
League (CGL).
This last season has seen further growth with us entering seven boys’ teams in the
HSC/HYFL and three girls’ teams in the CGL. A total of 167 boys and girls – 115
boys and 52 girls – playing in the green and white of Ealing Trailfinders each
Saturday and Sunday from October to May.
It was a season of consolidation and improvement through hard work done on the
training pitch for our U13R and U13W boys’ teams and our U15 girls’ team. Building
and bonding as a team in their first season together for our U17W boys and U12
Girls teams.
And some great successes! Our U10 and both our U11 teams scoring freely, playing
some great football, and getting into the winning habit. They will be the teams to beat
YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY CLUB
next season. Our U16R team are Harrow Youth League U16 Division 2 champions,
dropping only 4 points on the way to the title. And our U13 girls’ finishing 3 rd in the
Capital Girls League U13 Division 2.
At the beginning of the 2022 – 2023 we were delighted to achieve FA Accredited
Club status. FA accreditation helps grassroots clubs to be more sustainable, more
resilient and built to last. We are proud to be recognized as offering high standards of
coaching, facilities and welfare for our players and volunteers.
We maintained our accreditation through last season, and we were awarded
Middlesex FA Accredited Club of the Month for October. Thank you to all coaches,
teams, and volunteers for your commitment to bringing best practices and
maintaining the highest standards in grassroots football.
We hope you enjoyed Presentation Day on Saturday at Ealing Trailfinders. A great
opportunity to celebrate our successes!
