Lower school camps will be filled with lots of fun games to allow children to develop their ABCs of movement (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Strength). Using familiar games such as tag, bulldog, cross the river and stuck in the mud – we will challenge them to solve movement problems with different rules and constraints (eg. animal movements, directional and spacial challenges) through the day.
We will introduce and develop some of the basic skills needed for a variety of sport before putting them into context using small sided games, to make sure each child get lots of opportunities to practice the skills we learn through the day. This will include different ways to kick, throw, catch, jump and strike a ball.
The upper school camp will start with an activation activity (ie. bulldog, capture the flag) to warm the children up. This will prepare them, mentally and physically, for a morning of technical drills. This includes exploring and developing their Kicking throwing, catching and striking skills.
In the afternoon, we will use the skills from the morning and put them into practice with competitive games to encourage better decision making and understanding of sports we play at school (Including Rugby, Football, Cricket, Hockey and Netball).
Lunch break will be from 12 – 1pm, and will be filled with creative activities, quizzes and challenges to stretch their minds, while they refuel and eat – Please remember to bring your own lunch and any snacks you may want throughout the day.
Our fully qualified coaches will help you improve your technique, foster teamwork and build sportsmanship. Our camps are designed to help you flourish in fun and safe environment.
