Join us for an hour of fitness, teamwork, and camaraderie every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
What is Walking Rugby?
Walking Rugby is a fast-growing adaptation of the traditional game, perfect for those who want to enjoy the thrill of rugby without the physical demands of full-contact play. It’s ideal for:
- Former players who want to stay connected to the sport.
- Beginners with no prior rugby experience.
- Anyone over 14 years old, male or female, looking for a social and fun way to stay active.
The game is played with seven players per side, and instead of tackles, a two-handed touch requires the ball to be passed. This creates a competitive yet safe and inclusive environment.
What to Expect?
- Fun and Friendly Atmosphere: Enjoy rugby in a way that’s accessible to all, regardless of age or experience.
- Health Benefits: Improve your fitness, coordination, and mental well-being in a supportive environment.
- Inclusive Participation: While the game naturally appeals to those aged 50+, it’s open to anyone aged 14 and over.
- Expert Coaching: Sessions are led by Mike O’Regan, a seasoned coach with three years of experience in Walking Rugby at Chobham RFC.
