The Ealing Trailfinders Foundation is governed by a voluntary board of trustees who set our strategy, oversee our finances and make sure everything we do serves our charitable purpose: making lives better through sport. The board meets quarterly and brings together experience from law, finance, education, business and community sport.
Tom Roberts
Chair of Trustees
Tom’s connection to the club goes back to playing youth rugby for Ealing Rugby Club, and he remains a keen Trailfinders supporter. A partner at a local law firm, he brings legal and governance experience to the board alongside a strong belief in sport’s ability to change lives in the community. As Chair, he leads the board in delivering the Foundation’s objective of making lives better through sport.
Sam Liu
Trustee
Sam is an entrepreneur and the founder of TechStart, a West London programme creating paid pathways into technology and business for young people. He works with SMEs, universities and civic partners to connect education with real employment, and sits on the board of the West London Chamber of Commerce. He joined the Foundation to help sport build confidence and opportunity for the next generation.
Roz Fagan
Trustee
Roz is Global Chief Operating Officer at Sound Diplomacy, a consultancy specialising in music, culture and the creative economy. A lifelong Ealing resident and long-standing supporter of the club, she has followed the game to three World Cups so far. She brings senior operational leadership to the board along with a genuine local perspective on the communities the Foundation serves.
Martin Aitchison
Trustee
Martin is an Investment Director at Invest New Zealand and a Fellow Chartered Accountant. His career has taken him to work in 25 countries, living in five of them, and he brings that financial and international business experience to the board. He joined the Foundation because he believes every child should have the chance to take part in sport, whatever their background.
Luke Stannard
Trustee
Luke is a qualified rugby coach with over a decade’s experience in international education. A former teacher, he now leads a social enterprise working with governments and partners to support the learning of children affected by conflict, and advises non-profits on funding and impact strategy. He brings that mix of coaching, education and charity sector experience to the Foundation’s board.
Tony Corish
Trustee
Tony played rugby league as a youth before joining London Irish in 1980, finally hanging up his boots with the Veterans in 2021. He spent over 40 years in secondary education, including headships at two large comprehensive schools, and has mentored newly appointed heads on national leadership programmes. He joined the board because he believes sport opens doors for young people who might otherwise struggle to find them.
Jonathan Hall
Trustee
Jonathan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and a director of AIM-listed Shearwater Group plc. A lifelong West London resident, he has a longstanding passion for rugby, having played the game, worked professionally at Saracens Rugby, and now coaches junior rugby. He is committed to using the values of the sport to create positive opportunities for young people and the wider community through the Ealing Trailfinders Foundation.
